HELLO!

I'm Alicia and I live in Barcelona. In 2006 I created Duduá, a craft shop and independent art gallery. My goal was to introduce different craft techniques to my generation, that might have thought that crafts were only for grannies or something old-fashioned and boring. I started organizing workshops, promoting artists, creating my own brand and experimenting with new materials, of different shapes and sizes. I recovered older techniques that had been forgotten about and presented them in a new and different way. In 2010 I created the "Crochet Guerrilla”, a group of people that do crafts in the street. It is a way of converting a traditional craft into something social, fun and public!

Nowadays my work has evolved into a wider creative field, working for agencies, designers and brands.
Duduá is located in Barcelona and I organise workshops every week since 2007. Since 2018 I have a podcast where I talk with creative people that inspires me.

In 2009, with my friend Elisa Riera, I founded Festivalet, the first independent craft and design fair in Barcelona. Since then the fair has grown every year and it’s one of the main design fairs in town.

In 2015 I cofounded Talleres Nómadas with Montse Fernández. Travel and experience around craftsmanship, creativity, and nature. We travel to Morocco, México, Mallorca, Guatemala and Perú to learn with local artisans.

I have written for La Vanguardia and created video tutorials for El Mueble. I also collaborate with different TV shows and radio stations (Com Ràdio and Rac1).

I am available for design commissions, art direction, talks, art curating, editorial writing projects, craft workshops and whatever you have in mind!
